This was honestly one of the worst places i’ve ever stayed in. First of all, it was a 9PM CHECK IN i came at 3 and they said my room wouldn’t be ready until 9pm but it’s really inconvenient that they don’t offer any other earlier times especially when you come from a long flight like what the hell even is 9PM? Secondly, i requested a twin bed on my booking, and i showed it to her clearly that it said that, but the front desk lady said no that room is only double bed and i was staying with a friend. To avoid this happening, my friend who made the booking called them before our check in day just to confirm we had the double beds and requested an english speaker. Just so it wasn’t a blindside when we did come to the hotel. However to our suprise as soon as the receptionist heard that she responded ‘No english here’ and hung up on my mate. Incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. Then, when i arrived she didn’t even try to be accomodating at all especially when i paid for a twin bed. She just said that’s it. When we went to the room it REEKED of cigarettes. There’s also no windows at all which is very eerie and makes it feel like like a box. Also location wise, on Agoda it was promoted as super close to Hongdae, this is incorrect. The subway station as well isn’t one that trains stop at for the most part. Extremely inconvenient. The elevator stopped working quite often during my stay which is kind of annoying when it’s repetitive. The neighbourhood was sweet but it was definitely an older crowd in terms of people around which was lovely but Korea does have abit of a staring issue with foreigners particularly with their senior population which can be quite uncomfortable constantly, especially because i was in a older neighbourhood. So if you’re someone that would struggle with that like i did, definitely save yourself the trouble and don’t stay here or in the area per say. Also quite overpriced especially after dealing with disaster. Hope this helps someone to save themself the trouble.
