This is an experiential stay. Tranport yourself to year 1700 countryside with many of the modern comfortable amenities is what this experience is like. It's not a perfect stay for the high rate being charged. The water pressure isn't high. The room temperature control is tricky. The traditional bedding isn't soft and may hurt your back, especially if you're used to a soft mattress. But what an experience waking up in the countryside to birds singing and insects chirping in a completely different social and cultural setting. Depending on the season, a night stay will run about $300 USD to $600 USD per night pending exchange rate. We stayed in 2023 with a favorable exchange rate during weekdays and paid about $300 USD a night. The resort itself was constructed about 10 years ago (the buildings are original, but the interior was modernized where appropriate, like bathroom). The age is showing especially in the bathroom. I recommended to the management that they should invest more money to make the interior more tidy and clean and raise the rate. The customers don't want to pay $300+ per night and see molded crumbling tile works in the bathroom. However, for me, the ambiance, the vibe, and the experience were worthwhile. But others may feel differently, especially if insects are of concern.
