ソウルに安価に宿泊する上で最悪の選択肢の1つだと思います。個人的には過去に東ティモールのホステルに宿泊した時と同じくらいかそれ以上に不快な体験になりそうだったので、初日に脱出を決意しました。

After traveling through Asia for several months, this was the perfect hostel to end my journey. It’s located right near Hongdae—the party district—and filled with people from all over the world who are open, social, and ready to connect. On more than one occasion, we met up in the evenings to go out together, and I made some amazing friends along the way.

I felt very comfortable in the female dormitory. Like many hostels, the beds could use curtains for a bit more privacy, but honestly, that’s just a minor thing—I’m really not complaining! 😀

The hostel is run by Ocean (hence the name) and it’s clear that this is his passion, not just a business. You can feel the heart and care that goes into every part of the place. This also goes for the other people working there. A person that makes this place a brighter place is Jenna. She is primarily the one that made me feel comfortable there. She really has a heart of of gold - to anyone visiting Ocean's Guesthouse soon, stick to Jenna!

I’ll definitely come back whenever I have the chance to return to Seoul! 🙂 🙂

I had such a great time staying at Oceans Guesthouse! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful — they really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. It’s also an amazing place to socialize; I met so many great people and never felt alone during my stay.

The guesthouse is cleaned daily, so everything is always spotless and well-maintained. The location is also perfect: it’s in a lovely neighborhood, and in my opinion, Hongdae with all its shops and lively streets is easily walkable from here. I would definitely stay here again!

Stay here if you’re interested in meeting other solo travelers! One of the staff members, Jenna, is great at organizing events and making sure people are having a great time. Small common area but it encourages people to chat, and the staff does a great job of keeping it clean.

Basic accommodation, small bathrooms, and no curtains in the dorms, but it’s one of the less expensive hostels in Seoul. Walking distance from a subway station and Hongdae. And yes, you have to make your own bed.

Loved it! Stayed for a week and then decided to book it for the rest of my trip. The facilities are new and well kept, the stuff is nice and helpful (Jenna is an angel!) It’s very easy to meet new people here, I made a couple of really good friends Will definitely stay here next time I’m in Seoul!

Première fois en Corée pour ma part, on a fait beaucoup d’hôtels avant et on a terminé notre séjour avec ma sœur, chez Ocean.
Vraiment un endroit convivial où j’ai rencontré beaucoup de personnes très sympathiques. Ne vous attendez pas à avoir autant d’intimité que dans un hôtel avec chambre privée c’est le principe d’une Guesthouse!
Ocean mets à disposition du linge si vous voulez en changer, des serviettes de bain. Tout est lavé tous les jours donc on s’y sent bien !
Le personnel organise des événements et des activités, ce qui est super pour découvrir les alentours et les gens qui partagent les dortoirs. Il y a également des casiers à disposition pour mettre vos affaires précieuses (ce que je vous conseille car je me suis faite voler de l’argent liquide dans ma valise) c’est le seul point noir de ce séjour mais en même temps dans un lieu de cohabitation on ne connaît jamais tout le monde vraiment. Et rien à dire sur les hôtes ! Un séjour au top ! Merci Océan !

Stayed there for months, the workers try their best and do a good job, if there is anything to complain about it’s about the righteous delusional people who think it’s making sense to complain about how the tables at the common area of the hostel looks RIGHT AFTER most of them partied and enjoyed their time socialising together having fun. You cannot expect that places stay tidy 100% 24/7 if you’re being realistic.

But cleaning is daily, well done, there’s always shampoo, body gel and conditioner in every showers, which are hygienic and it’s the first time here in Korea after such a long time after visiting multiple places (hostel, hotels, etc.) that I finally witnessed showers with No fungus! (These are a usual problem in Korea) the beds are hygienic and comfortable, the kitchen gives you stoves to cook, some utensils, even free pasta including spices and oil for cooking. Ocean, the owner, he’s very caring for everyone, always there if you need anything. People come together like family here, drama isn’t welcomed. You cannot expect anything more than that, especially not from a usual guesthouse, this is beyond usual (in a positive way of course). It already has so many extras, I am one who really does appreciate it. It’s very common for people to come back to this hostel after their check-out to check-in again or extend because they like it so much.
